On Christmas Eve, we woke up and decided to make and deliver some Christmas cookies to the neighbors. Avery had a great time helping cut and roll out the yummy funfetti sugar cookies and she sure made a mess of herself doing it. But I suppose it was worth it.
That night we went over to Grandma and Grandpa's house to have a fun Christmas Eve party. We had yummy food and the kids performed the nativity. Avery was thrilled to play the angel and shout, "Fear Not!"
After the party we headed home and Avery got to open her Christmas Eve pajamas. While they weren't the customary Christmas PJ's I remember getting, she loved them because they had the Disney Princesses on them.
And soon she was tucked all snug in her bed, clutching the kitty cat Aunt Lauren and Uncle Luke had given her.
Santa came that night, and left behind a gaggle of presents for the good little girl.
This was a very Princess themed Christmas. And Grandma Kathy and Big Daddy didn't let her down. They got her the Little People Disney Princess Castle and some of the Princesses to go with it.
Here the little Princess is all dressed up and holding her "Cinderella Baby." You might recall this was her mantra everytime she had to lay eyes on the dreaded Santa Claus, so it looked like he came through.
Great Grandma and Granddaddy Turner got her this fun Strawberry Shortcake book.
Here she is testing out her new laptop.
And here is the castle in all its glory. She hasn't stopped playing with it since she opened it.
